Yes! Attending Reunion

Brian and I married in 1973 and have lived in Dallas, Texas; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Arden Hills, Minnesota, Hudson,Wisconsin, Waterloo, Belgium; Hudson again; Chicago; and finally Minong, Wisconsin. I like to refer to Minong as the "Riviera of the Northland"!
I have taught many types of dance and exercise classes for toddlers through adults. I've "retired" from all that and now work with Colin in sales, etc. for our countertop company in Spooner.

School Story:

Remember when we girls were required to wear dresses or skirts except on special days, we could wear slacks! I think this may have been a 2 or 3 time occasion, in my memory. My, how times have changed.
7th grade home ec class and the broiled grapefruit;
8th grade science class, phosphorous sparks flying and landing on Sheralyn Hoversholm's dress; was this the year with Miss Cahill? shudder
9th grade physical fitness tests and walking down the granite stairs the next day with really sore hip flexors from the sit ups
10th grade starting an hour before everyone else, Biology class, too early to smell formaldehyde (skipping with Marlene Nelson, caught by Mr. Tornowski)
11th grade no math class-geometry in 10th grade cured me-DECA convention lots of fun
12th grade Algebra with Chlorn Peterson, one of the best teachers I encountered
I decided I needed more math, good decision, geometry was silly to me
but I LOVED algebra
I loved the talent shows, French classes, English classes, 9th grade civics class, Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Weber's amazing shows he produced, cheerleading, gymnastics, gym and swimming class, good friends and acquaintances and lots of very good teachers. I should've studied but, oh well, there ya go. At the time I didn't think it would make any difference!

Hello! It is good to see you are doing well. I remember you as someone who everyone liked very much.
I was in Vitoria last January to purchase granite slabs for our granite fabricating company in northern Wisconsin. The weather was wonderful, so hot!!! I tried to learn a little Portuguese for the trip but have since forgotten 99% of what I had learned. When we go again, I will study the basics again. It's nice to know some greetings and thank you phrases.
The next time we go, we plan to visit Iguzu Falls, among other sites.
Will we see you at the 50 year reunion this August? That would be great.

Hi Vickie,

Thanks very much for the birthday message. I can't believe I'm 66.

I'm semi-retired now but still teach a couple of courses a semester. No one has complained about me being senile yet.

I is sad that Ed Mattes and Jane Jonas have passed away. Jane's book, Upside Down, is excellent. She was a talented writer.

I hope all goes well with you and your family.

I remember Jane as so energetic and bubbly.  I am sure she had such a wonderful life with her family and friends.  A life filled with more delights than heartbreaks.  She left the world a better place.  Peace.
