After high school I attended UW-EC Nursing School, graduating in 1973. I worked in psychiatric nursing for about 1 year before moving to Woodstock, Illinois. My husband worked on a large farm there for about 5 years. When we returned to Wisconsin we purchased our own dairy farm just outside of Menomonie, Wi. I began my job as an obstetric nurse in 1980. It was a wonderful career, celebrating the birth of over 2,000 children.
My most rewarding job, however has been being a mother to my four sons. I sure learned alot about boys! Now that they are grown and have children of their own I find being a grandma is a great joy.
I have loved living the farm life - the wide open space, the life-style and the neighbors that make up our community.
I am our church organist, play clarinet in the Ludington Guard City band and more recently the ukulele.
I love to garden, read, travel and spend time with my family!
My school memories seem limited when I try to recall specific things. I look at all of the pictures of everyone and read their stories and it feels so familiar.
I remember band and sharing library duties with Sharon Seymour. All of our band trips and the trouble we caused trying to sneak out of our rooms.
Sneaking out the band door to make trips to McDonalds for lunch.
Stealing passes from the admissions office.
Sitting in math class with Rick Hansen and getting moved because we talked too much.
French class with Kris Boetcher and Diane Koplein

It is always so much fun to read about others experiences in high school that I was totally unaware of at the time, or simply forgot about. I don't have nearly as much musical education as you but dug my clarinet out of the attic several years ago and enjoy playing in the city band in Menomonie, Wisconsin. I agree it is fun to see all of the musical talent of our classmates!
